Jesse Wright

Jesse Wright is a graduate student at the P. I. Reed School of Journalism concentrating in news editorial and convergent media. After completing high school in Cape Town, South Africa, Jesse attended West Virginia University and received an undergraduate degree in journalism in 2000.

In January 2000 Jesse was chosen by the Poynter Institute from among the top graduating seniors in the country to attend the Spring Break for College Seniors, a professional development seminar.

Jesse lived and worked in New Orleans for several years before returning to West Virginia to work on his master’s degree.

Jesse now works with Prof. Joel Beeson as a graduate assistant on the West Virginia Veteran’s Oral History Project. He also works on the Katrina Project as a contributing writer and discussion board moderator.
