Barbara Griffin

Barbara Griffin is a 2004 graduate from the Regents Program with an emphasis in Communication Studies and Gerontology. She currently works in the financial aid department at West Virginia University and is graduate student at the P.I. Reed School of Journalism.

During her last year as an undergraduate, she was involved in a documentary film and book “Cancer Stories: Lessons in Love, Loss and Hope.” During the project she documented the lives of cancer patients Geraldine Thomas and Brenda White. Griffin was also involved in the Veterans History Project that documented the experiences of military veterans for the Library of Congress.

Griffin plans to make a photo documentary using photo elicitation as a process to help Alzheimer patients with memory loss.
