Isiah and Suzette King
Isiah and Suzette King have a long history in New Orleans. Isiah was a star player on St. Augustine’s basketball team, a racially integrated team that won the state championship in 1965. Suzette worked as a police dispatcher in the heart of New Orleans for several years.
Isiah and Suzette King refused to leave New Orleans for five days after Hurricane Katrina because their pregnant dog, Missy, was not allowed to evacuate with them.
