Robert Goslin
Robert Goslin, a retired telecommunications expert with the Coast Guard, was 51 Hurricane Katrina hit New Orleans. Nearly a week after the storm, he reluctantly evacuated from the devastated city, leaving behind his three dogs; Noelle, Cosmo and Dancer. He was later reunited with them through the help of complete strangers. At Camp Dawson, he played a dual role as an evacuee and a volunteer, helping re-organize the Red Cross’ internet café which was set up for evacuees. He now lives in Fairmont and is studying computer technology at West Virginia Jr. College in Bridgeport.
